David started out as an architect, graduating in 1980, but has been on staff now for many years. He and Maggie have two children. David has built up strong links with several churches in East Africa and began the Africa Fund in 2001.

Maggie is passionate about dance and co-ordinates the church's dance worship. Together they have had a vision for setting up a House of Prayer in Edinburgh: in 2006 the Lord led them to sell their home and buy a former church building in Newcraighall. This has been named Wellsprings.
