THE TABERNACLE OF DAVID
With my faith level soaring "I knew that I knew" it was harvest time and I saw Jesus Christ standing in the midst of the harvest. During an open vision He revealed that He is both the Lord of the Harvest and the Good Shepherd. He said, "Todd this next harvest is not going to be just about massive numbers. It's going to be about disciples." He said, "I am going to bring together the anointing of the teacher, the pastor, and the good shepherd with the Lord of the Harvest."
He said, "I am going to bring together the mantle that is on pastors and the mantle that is on evangelists. They are going to learn how to work together, not be independent of one another, and not be in competition with one another. The people aren't just going to get saved. When I come in this harvest, I am coming to make disciples-followers. Yes, I am going to release an anointing in the harvest for massive crusades and power evangelism, but I am also going to come with a tremendous anointing for discipleship and pastoring. I am going to come as the Good Shepherd and there is going to be a marrying of both of those mantles-pastor and evangelist. There will be a marrying of both of those anointings."
In this open vision, there, in the middle of this harvest (golden wheat field), was a rickety, old tent with holes in it. The poles were barely keeping the tent up. It looked about 100 years old, all dirty, yet it was standing, if you can call it that, in the harvest. So I asked, "God, what's that doing out here in the harvest?" He said, "That's the tabernacle of David!" I said, "What's the tabernacle of David doing in the world harvest?" And that's when the Lord spoke to me these words from Amos 9:11 and 13:
"On that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, and repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, And rebuild it as in the days of old . . . "Behold, the days are coming," says the LORD, "When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him who sows seed... ."
God said to me that He was doing something today in which all the streams would flow together, and that one stream is called "the tabernacle of David." The prophetic movement, the house of prayer movement, the healing room movement and the mass crusade evangelist movement will not be separated, each unto themselves. The emphasis will again be on the "prayer and levitical priesthood mantle" that He is stressing today in the church, which involves the 24 hour, 7 days a week, harp and bowl worship and intercession. "On that day" is the day in which the plowman will overtake the reaper and the massive harvest is coming because that great prayer movement is getting the great harvest ready.
